Devin Shutte, FIFM

Head of Investments
Devin leads TRG's investment process. He chairs the Investment Committee that sets asset allocation, runs the manager research behind the Wealth Builder Range, and is the public voice of TRG's commentary through the Weekly Money Minute. As Head of Investments, he is responsible for the funds in which TRG's client assets sit and for the award-winning outcomes those funds have produced.
Kevin Essery, CA (SA)

Digital Asset Specialist
Kevin runs the structural and operational side of TRG's digital asset offering. He's a Chartered Accountant who manages the TRG Digital Innovation Fund — the firm's regulated allocation to digital assets under TRG's Crypto Asset Service Provider licence. The advisory team handles the question of whether and how much; Kevin ensures the underlying allocation is properly structured, tax-handled, and reported as part of the client's total wealth picture.
Lance Robert, CFP

Managing Director
Lance has been advising South African families since 2001 and is a co-founder of TRG. He runs the firm as MD and sits on the Investment Committee, but his daily work is on the advisory side, the long-running KZN North Coast relationships that have anchored the firm since 2010. Clients with multi-generational wealth work directly with Lance.
Connor Riley

Investment Infrastructure
Connor is the engineering layer underneath TRG's investment process. With a B.Comm in Investment Management and progressing through the CFA programme, he designs and runs the systems that translate investment decisions into precise execution — rebalancing, cash flows, and the operational discipline that ensures what the team decides is what actually happens in client portfolios. Clients don't see Connor's work directly; they see its results.
Clyde Ndlovu

Investment Analyst
Clyde runs the share portfolio analysis for TRG. He covers local and global equity research — the work that determines which individual shares the firm holds, monitors, or sells. With a B.Com Honours in Financial Management and a Master’s in progress, his analytical depth enables the team to take positions with conviction rather than track consensus.
